In a press release today VMware announced that a record 21,000 Registered Attendees attended VMworld 2012 this year in San Francisco. Being out there and seeing it first hand I definitely believe it. I think it was a great event for all participants as well as the partners and sponsors. I spent a lot of time in the Solutions Exchange and the Hang Space area and both were also packed, very cool.
VMware made a lot of key announcements at VMworld 2012 which I posted about previously. Those included:
- VMware vCloud Suite 5.1, including vSphere 5.1 and vCloud Director 5.1
- CloudOps and CloudOps Forum
- Announcement and first look of Horizon
