Watching this live on VMware Now but just came across the press release from VMware as they announce vCloud Suite 5.1. This supports the VMware direction of a total a ‘Software Defined Data Center’. One big announced made today by VMware with this was the elimination of the vRAM pricing structure which was announced last year under a lot of criticism. Very cool for VMware to listen to the community, adjust their approach and are now going back to per CPU/per socket pricing.
Highlights of vCloud Suite 5.1 from the VMware press release.
