This is something I had heard rumours of over the past month and saw some posts on but today VMware announced on the Office of the CTO Blog that they have acquired Log Insight Technology and team Pattern Insight. The technology provides real time search and analytics for large scale unstructured log data and will enable VMware to meet our customers’ growing need for advanced analytics-based approaches to operations management in highly dynamic virtualized and cloud environments.
